Ingredients

check flour 4 cups flour

check baking powder 1 teaspoon baking powder

check salt 1/4 teaspoon salt

check nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

check butter 1/2 cup butter

check shortening 1/2 cup shortening

check (8 ounce) cream cheese 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese

check granulated sugar 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar

check egg 1 egg

check vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Decorate:

2 containers (15.6 ounce) Funfetti frosting, vanilla frosting or homemade frosting

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Combine flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; set aside.

Cream together butter and shortening; add cream cheese and sugar beating until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

Divide dough in half. Cover and chill 1 to 2 hours.

On lightly floured surface, roll dough 1/8- inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 7 to 9 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Frost as desired.
