French Quarter Caramel Sauce

New Orleans tailgating treat

Yield: Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients

Add (1 stick) butter to shopping list 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

Add brown sugar to shopping list 1 cup brown sugar

Add heavy cream to shopping list 1/2 cup heavy cream

Add Gentleman Jack to shopping list 1/4 cup Gentleman Jack

Add Banana slices to shopping list Banana slices

Directions:

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in sugar and cream. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat. Pour into bowl to cool. Whisk in Gentleman Jack.

Serve warm or at room temperature. Serve with banana slices. Store in refrigerator.
